What is Civil Engineering?

Civil Engineers are problem solvers trained to apply math and science concepts to meet the complex challenges of modern society. They take leadership roles in the planning, design, construction, and operation of resilient infrastructure projects related to connected and autonomous transportation systems, safe drinking water, environmental remediation, roads and bridges, and structures.

US News & World Report ranked Civil Engineering #4 and Environmental #3 on their best engineering jobs list in 2020, with the amount of projected jobs exponentially higher for Civil Engineers than any other engineering job on the list.
