

Free in-person drop-in tutoring is offered starting the second week of the semester and finishing the last day of classes.
The tutoring center is located inside the Geneva Rock Study Room (MCE 1030B, see map below).

Shayne Curson
My name is Shayne Curson, I am a civil engineering student emphasizing in water resources and environmental engineering. I chose to study civil engineering because I believe it provides a sense of fulfillment career-wise due to the direct impact civil engineers have on the community around them. My hobbies include mountain biking and cooking, and my favorite class I've taken at the U is CVEEN 6115: Data Science & Machine Learning.

Braden Miles
I'm Braden Miles, and I am emphasizing in structural engineering. I chose civil engineering because I grew up playing with Legos, and I am fascinated by ancient Roman engineering. My favorite class has been Masonry & Timber design, and my hobbies include working out and learning languages.

Summer Stevens
Summer is a senior in the Civil & Environmental Engineering program and loves working with students in the tutoring center, especially for her favorite class, Strengths of Materials. Her tutoring focuses on enhancing study skills and mitigating overwhelming feelings so that the student has the resources to complete work confidently in the future. Summer loves the performing arts and hopes to design a theater with her degree. She looks forward to an MS in Structures in the future, followed by a PhD in Engineering Education after some years in the consulting sector. In her downtime, she loves to climb, dance, cook, sew, and play Pokemon on the Switch with her husband Jesse.
