Meet our Tutors
Hey fellow peers! I’m Brandon Batjav, a Civil Engineering junior, and I chose this field because I love how it combines real-world impact with problem-solving. So far, my favorite class has been Statics, but my current classes are good contenders. I’m excited to be a tutor and help out with challenging concepts and difficult courses. In my free time, I like the outdoors, gym, and catching up on my shows.
Hi! My name is Melissa Jackson and I am a Junior in the Civil Engineering program here at the U. I chose to study civil engineering because I enjoy the outdoors and problem solving and I wanted to help people. My favorite classes have been Strengths of Materials as well as Statics and I am excited to keep learning in the Civil Engineering program. I love to hike, run, camp, snowmobile as well as play music and cook.
Hello, my name is Nicholas Parent. I am a senior in Civil and Environmental Engineering focusing on structures. I enjoy the complexity and originality of designing buildings and bridges. All of the classes for civil engineering have taught me something new and given me curiousity to learn more. Two that I enjoyed greatly were CvEEN 2140 Strength of Materials with Dr. Pantelides, and CvEEN 3210 Structural Loads and Analysis with Dr. Ibarra.
Hello, my name is Cassia, I am a Junior in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department. I am super excited about everything infrastructure related; I hope to work in infrastructure planning to assure that civil/environmental engineering projects are benefiting the community. I love the program, and I am super excited to help other students through the program as well. My favorite classes have been Statics with Dr. Babu and Hydraulics with Dr. Johnson.
