Donald F. Hayes, Ph.D., P.E.

Welcome to my web pages. As a faculty member in the Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Utah I teach undergradate courses in both Civil and Environmental Engineering and graduate courses in Environmental Engineering. I also conduct research in the transport and fate of contaminants in surface water, remediation of contaminated sediments (including removal methods such as dredging), engineering of natural systems for environmental quality improvement, and applications of systems analysis to environmental systems. I currently serve on the Utah Drinking Water Board that regulates public water systems in the State of Utah.
