Personal Sketch:
Dr. Elliott is a retired Army lieutenant colonel who received his doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah in 1993. He does his research in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, but is a member of the faculty in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. |

| Dr. Elliott's main research interests are related to the time-based failure modes of fatigue, corrosion, and wear. Through the Quality and Integrity Design Engineering Center he does biaxial metal fatigue work that is funded indirectly by the United States Air Force |
