Ken Ament is the founder and president of Construction Control Corporation, a construction management and consulting firm in Salt Lake City. He and his firm have served as construction managers for over one hundred projects since the firm's inception in 1984. These projects include the Salt Lake City Main Library, four expansions for the Salt Palace Convention Center, the Rowland Hall-St. Mark's Lower School, Park City's Basin Recreation Center, Gallavan Plaza - Phase II, and over 60 various projects for the federal government's GSA.
Mr. Ament and his firm have also served as cost consultants on over 3,000 construction projects since the firm was established. These projects include the Utah State Capitol Renovation, the Utah Museum of Natural History, the Rice Stadium Expansion, the Salt Lake County Detention Facility, the LDS Bountiful Temple, the University of Utah Health Sciences Building, and 42 various projects for the 2002 Olympics.
Prior to forming Construction Control Corporation, Mr. Ament served as a construction manager for the Smith Group, one of the founders of the construction management industry. He managed projects in Nashville, Tennessee, Atlanta, Georgia and Huntsville, Alabama. Mr. Ament served as a platoon leader and company commander for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in South Vietnam.
Mr. Ament has a B.S. in Business Management from Tennessee Technological University and did graduate studies in Architecture at the University of Tennessee. |
